Holy Mt. Kailash, Lake Manasarovar & Guge Kingdom Tibet Mt. Kailash Tour  and Mansarovar Tour: Mt. Kailash (6714 m) - In the far  west of Tibet is Mt Kailash, the most sacred mountain in Asia, which is venerated by Buddhists, Hindus, Jains and the ancient Bon religion  of Tibet. From it flow four great rivers ,the Karnali, the Indus, the Sutlej and the Brahmaputra. Which drain the vast  Tibetan Plateau. It is an important site for Tibetan and Indian pilgrims who make a 53km circuit, or kora, of the mountain.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu to Zhangmu (118 KM) it takes around 5-6 hours.

Day 2: Drive to Tingri (180KM) it takes around 5 hours via Lalung la pass (5124m) overnight at old Tingri Guest House.

Day 3: Old Tingri to Everest base Camp (160 KM) it takes around 5 hours. Overnight at camping.

Day 4: Drive back to Lhatse  overnight at camping (205 KM) it takes around 6 hours via Gayest la Pass (5220m), Lhatse county, traditionally known as Nyingri district is located on the south bank of the Barhmaputra , east of the shab-chu valley.

Day 5: Drive Lhatse to Ragaovernight at camping (248 KM) it takes around 6 hours via Naming Tso. (Tsochen county on the northen route to Mount kailash is a nomadic region.)

Day 6: Drive Raga to Tsochen  (242 KM) it takes around 7 hours via Raga hot spring. Raga Townshiplieson the main road, (69 KM) beyond the pass and near the source of the RagaTsangpo. Overnight at camping.
(257 KM) it takes around 9 hour(Greets county is a large desolate country bordering Drongpa in the south, Gykey in the west and, in the Kunlun Mountains in the north. At night camping.

Day 8: Drive Gyertse to Gegye (383 KM) it takes around 9.30 hours. (Gegye county on the northern route to Mount Kailash extends from Lake Tarab-Tso, on the edge of the Jangtang plateau, as fare as Donpa and Gegye in the upper Indus valley. Overnight at camping .

Day 9: Drive Gegye to Sin Khabap (112 KM) it takes around 4 hours. (Singe Khabap) (SingeTsangpo County, formerly known as Gar, straddles the confluences of the Indus River and two of its tributaries. The Langchu Tsangpo  which converges at Senge Tsangpo Town. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10: Drive Gar (Senge Tsangpo)  to Tsamdha (278 Km) it takes 9 hours. Tsamdha county, is the curren name for the region which once was known as the Guge Kingdom. Overnight Guest at house.

Day 11: Sightseeing Guge kingdom (The Guge Kingdom founding in the 9th century evolved as a result of the collapse of the Yarlung Dynasty under the anti-Buddhist ruler Langdarma. After his assassination, one of his sons, Namde Osung, who had fled to far- west Tibet founded the Guge Kingdom. Overnight come back to Tholing Monastery and stay in Guest House.The Tholing Temple and religious buildings of Tholing are the most significant in far-west Tibet. They were constructed underthe guidance of the great Tibetan translator Rinchen Sangpo (985-1055),around 1014-25, although some sources suggest an earlier date(996.) During his lifetime he is said to have built 108 temple throughout far –west Tibet and Ladak.

Day 12: Tholing to Tirthapuri(208 KM) it takes around 7 hours.(Tirthapuri Concluding the pilgrimage is a visit to Trithapuri.  Here the hot springs and a Geyser add to the power of the place.Inside a temple enclosure is a small cave where Padamsambava meditated with his Tibetan consort Yeshi Tsogyel. Overnight at camping.

Day 13: Drive Tirthapuri to Darchen (80 Km) it takes around 3 hours. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 14–16: 3 Days Trek to the Kailash Kora. (Kailash For most travelers to far west Tibet the prime focus of their journey is the sacred peak of mount Kailash( 6658m). This extraordinary mountain is regarded as the heartof the world, the axis Mundi, the center of Asia, by Buddhist,Hindus, Janis and followers of other spiritual traditions.

Day 17: Darchen drive to Manasarover Lake (40 KM). The Tibetan name is Mapham Yumsto and Tso Madropa,the later being a translation of a secondary Sanskrit name, Anavatapta.

Day 18: Drive Lake to Paryang (277 Km) it takes around 7-8 hours.

Day 19: Drive Paryang to Saga (220 Km) it takes around 6 Hours. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 20: Drive to Pekhu tso Lake at Night camping. From Pekhu tso Lake you can see Mount Sheshabangma(8013m) and Langtang (7232m).

Day 21: Drive to Zhangmu China-Nepal border via Lalung La passes (5124). End of the Tibet  Tour.
